You Aren’t Boring I Just Suck At Conversations I’m Sorry: a novel by me

I’m Not Ignoring You I Just Don’t Know What To Say: a sequel by me

I Feel Like I have Nothing Interesting To Say So I Don’t Say Anything At All And I’m Really Sorry Don’t Stop Talking To Me: the trilogy.

These sound more like essays than novels.

Vincent van Gogh.

doot doot story time

when i was 12 my mom and her friend took me to a van gogh exhibition because she was offended that i spurned van gogh for renoir. she said we were gonna walk around until i got why van gogh was glorious.

tbh it didn’t take long because of…well, everything in these pictures. when you see it in person, it clicks. the thickness of his paint, he damn near applied it with a trowel. it is eternal evidence of the passion with which he threw the paint onto the canvas. i fell in love immediately. how could i not?

we were looking at starry night, and her friend whistled low in appreciation and said “you have to really love that this was done when he was just bat-fuck crazy.” and i did. oh i did i did i did.

and when the guard wasn’t looking, i touched all the paintings. gently, in corners away from his signature, but i did. i touched and felt the thickness, the ruts where his brush had been.

and my probing little fingers found a bristle. and plucked it.

somewhere in my belongings, thanks to a quick thought from 20 years ago, i have one of van gogh’s paintbrush bristles.

and i have touched his paintings and i’m not even the tiniest bit sorry. it was magical.

Notice only 20 shades of gray

It’s been proven that women actually have an acute ability to pick up subtle differences in colors

In response to that last comment^^

Yes. It comes from the Hunter-Gatherer days.

Women were the gatherers. They had to be able to discern between the different shades of colors to know which plants were poisonous and which were not.

Men were out hunting, so they didn’t have to worry about that.

Which is why women see “Blood orange” and “crimson” and “scarlet” etc while guys just see “red”.

i want a relationship but i want them to be like a friend to me, i dont want the relationship to be all about kissing, making out and sex i just wanna hang out with them, and go places, and just have fun wherever we go

This post is surreal because that is exactly how a healthy relationship should be yet we’re convinced this is a weird and unusual thing to ask of our partners.
